We are pleased that mountain biking with a new route on the classic marathon distance is again in the permanent repertoire of the Soča Outdoor Festival in Tolmin. Our cycling story has a long and very special history. It is also extremely important for the local community, as the basic idea for organizing the event is the long-term, inclusive development of cycling with many positive multiplicative effects for the local environment.

The collective work action of arranging the new Soča MTB marathon route will take place on Saturday, July 4, between 8 am and 4 pm in cooperation with our sponsor Continental, the Alpine Association of Slovenia (PZS), the Walk of Peace Foundation, Soča Valley Tourist Board, the municipalities of Tolmin and Kobarid, the Tolmin alpine society, and the Soča Outdoor Festival. We will work on two parts of the route – at the end of the ascent in front of the Pretovč mountain and on the descent over the Zatolmin mountains – on an important section of the Slovenian cycling route (STKP) and the Walk of Peace. All participants get a T-shirt, food and drink, as well as a free registration fee for the AATC MTB marathon challenge (http://alpeadria-trailcup.com/sl/izziv-mtb-sof/).
