The route from Volč to Kolovrat is not truly vertical, as the name of this increasingly popular running category suggests. But even if you don’t know the Pythagorean theorem, it should be clear to you that 1,000 vertical metres over a distance of five kilometres is one hell of a steep climb. Two more encouraging facts: the trail is mostly in the shade of a forest, and at the top you’ll find a meadow with a view of the mighty Krn on one side and the Adriatic Sea on the other. Lie down and breathe, you’ve earned it.

Registrations for 2026 will be available soon.
You can register for the trail run online or at the registration service on the day of the event, but since spots are filling up quickly, we recommend online registration. The registration is valid after the payment of the entry fee (only in the case of available starting spots). The number of registrations for this discipline is limited to 100 participants.

GROUP REGISTRATION
- The minimum number of contestants is 5.
- For groups of 5 to 10 runners, there is a 10% discount on the entry price.
- For a group of 11 runners or more, there is a 15% discount on the entry price.
If you wish to register as a group of 5 or more runners, please contact us at info@soca-outdoor.com and indicate the number of runners on each course.
All participants are entitled to:
*Adidas T-shirt is not included in the price (can be added at check-in).
Transportation from the finish line back to the festival venue will not be organized – competitors return to the venue on foot or with their own transport.
Competitors who would like to participate in a 10km, 15km, 25km, 35km, or 50km run in addition to the Triglav Vertical Run can register at a cheaper price.
When registering for 10km, 15km, 25km, 35km, or 50 km, you can additionally register for the Vertical run with an additional payment of 15eur.
On Saturday (25km and 35km) and Sunday (10 km and 15km) we will also announce the best in the combination of both disciplines.
The cumulative sum of times in both races (vertical + 10km, vertical + 15km, vertical + 25km, vertical + 35km, or vertical + 50km) counts as the sum of the two disciplines.
In combinations (10 + vertical, 15km + vertical, 25km + vertical, 35km + vertical, 50 km + vertical) awards will be given only to the best female and best male.

Age limit: 16 years. For competitors under the age of 18, parents must sign a consent form when picking up the starting number.

* BIB number must be placed at the front of your body, to your T-shirt or a belt.
* You need to bring your own drinking cup (15 cL minimum). There will be no plastic cups at aid stations, so each runner must provide their own.
In case of bad weather also a hooded jacket is recommended.
The general conditions of competition at the Soča Outdoor Festival apply to the Vertikal run.
By registering in the online application form and paying the entry fee, the competitor confirms that he agrees with the conditions of the competition and that he competes at his own risk. For registrations at the venue on the day of the event, the competitor signs the registration form confirming his agreement with the registration conditions and that he competes at his own risk.
Parents or guardians, who sign the application form upon registration, are responsible for minors.
Participants allow taking photos along the course and allow the organizer to use the photos for the purposes of promoting the Soča Outdoor Festival event.
Medical service is provided on the route.
The organizer reserves the right to change this call, of which the participants will be informed in due time.
The organizer is not responsible for the consequences that the competitor causes to himself, a fellow competitor or a third party.
Everyone competes at their own risk.
Parking: parking will be provided for teams, competitors and spectators.
We do not refund paid registrations.
Competitors return from the finish line to the venue on foot or on their own. Transportation will not be organized.
Parking will be provided in Volče, and competitors can also walk to the start from the main festival venue (approx. 3 km).
