The Ski Touring Festival Bohinj (TSF) is Slovenia’s first multi-day ski touring festival, set in the heart of the Julian Alps. It brings together movement, knowledge, safety, and community in a winter mountain environment—for those who don’t see outdoor activity as a single event, but as a year-round process.
TSF fills the winter space between seasons. It’s a time to build the foundation—physical, mental, and technical. Without noise and without crowds. With more focus, more responsibility, and deeper connection with nature. Everything that allows things to flow when summer arrives.
What does the TSF 2026 program offer?
Guided ski touring tours
A variety of tours in the Bohinj area, adapted to different skill levels, led by experienced guides with a strong focus on safe movement in the mountains.
4-day Triglav Ski Touring Traverse
A multi-day alpine experience for experienced ski tourers who want to combine movement, navigation, endurance, and responsibility in high mountain terrain.

TSF is not a classic competitive event. It is a winter space for building a foundation—physical, technical, and mental. For everyone who understands outdoor activity as a process: learning rhythm, decision-making, and perseverance before the peak of the season arrives.
For many, it is a natural prelude to the June challenge of the Soča Outdoor Festival.
Fewer crowds, more focus. More silence and deeper contact with nature. What takes shape in the mountains in March finds its rhythm by the Soča in June.

Organization
The Bohinj Tourism Institute is responsible for the strategic concept of the festival, program development, and positioning the event within the Bohinj area and Triglav National Park, in line with the principles of sustainable tourism.
JATrail d.o.o. is responsible for the operational and technical execution of the festival and for coordinating on-the-ground activities. The festival is co-created by teams with extensive experience from the region’s largest outdoor events, such as Julian Alps Trail Run by UTMB, Ultra Trail Vipava Valley, Soča Outdoor Festival, Kočevsko Outdoor, and Archipelago Trail Run.
