Weather
Check the weather forecast before the event and prepare accordingly. Early summer in Tolmin is usually hot, but thunderstorms are also possible, and at higher elevations (on the longer routes) temperatures can be much lower. As the saying goes: there’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.
As this is an outdoor event, we cannot provide much covered space in case of rain.
ON FESTIVAL
Withdrawing from the race
You may withdraw only at an aid station (please inform one of the volunteers), unless you are unable to continue and require assistance. Volunteers will notify the race control team of your withdrawal and, if you are unable to move, arrange safe transport back to the finish area. If someone picks you up by private vehicle, please inform the race control team using the emergency phone number.
ON FESTIVAL
Drinking water
Tap water in Tolmin is safe to drink. Water refill stations will be available at the main festival venue, where you can refill your bottle and help reduce plastic waste from bottled water.

Crossing the Tolminka River
All routes cross the Tolminka River just before the finish, unless high water levels or weather conditions make the crossing unsafe. The final decision will be made on race day.
Make sure to protect your electronic devices. The organizer is not responsible for any damage to them.
You can avoid crossing the Tolminka by reaching the finish via the nearby bridge. The detour will be marked, but in this case your time will not be included in the race results.
ON FESTIVAL
Safty during the race
We recommend carrying a mobile phone during the race. Mobile signal coverage is good throughout the course. The emergency phone number is printed on your race bib. It is intended for emergencies only (withdrawals, injuries, etc.), not for general enquiries.
