These General Terms and Conditions govern registration, payment and participation in sports competitions and other activities held as part of the Soča Outdoor Festival (hereinafter referred to as the event).
By submitting the registration, the participant confirms that they have read and understood these General Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. The rules of each individual discipline, the information provided during the registration process and any special instructions issued by the organiser for a particular edition of the event also form an integral part of these terms and conditions.

The event is organised by:

THE EVENT AND SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CONTRACT
The I feel Slovenia Soča Outdoor Festival is an outdoor sporting event that includes road running, trail running, vertical running, hiking and other accompanying activities.
The subject matter of the contract is the participant’s right to take part in the selected sporting discipline or activity of the I feel Slovenia Soča Outdoor Festival, as chosen by the participant in the registration system, together with the services and benefits included in the selected registration.
The date, location, routes, distances, elevation profiles, schedule, start times, age restrictions, mandatory equipment, time limits and other specific details of each discipline are published on the event’s official website and during the registration process.
If the participant orders an additional service or product during registration, it also forms part of the contract.
REGISTRATION AND CONCLUSION OF THE CONTRACT
Registration for the event is generally completed through an online registration system designated by the organiser. On-site registration is not guaranteed and is subject to availability.
The participant must provide accurate, complete and truthful information when registering. Before completing the registration, the participant may review and correct the information entered.
The registration is confirmed once:
1. the registration form has been completed correctly,
2. the participant has accepted the General Terms and Conditions and other mandatory event rules, and
3. payment has been successfully completed or the registration has been confirmed in another manner permitted by the registration system.
After successfully completing the registration, the participant will receive an electronic confirmation or another form of registration confirmation.
Submitting a paid registration creates an obligation to pay.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
The registration fee depends on the selected discipline, registration period and any additional services or products. The price displayed in the registration system when the participant completes their registration shall apply. The organiser may limit the number of participants in each discipline.
All prices are stated in euros (EUR) and include VAT where applicable.
If the organiser uses several pricing periods or limits the number of registrations available at each price, the price may change before the scheduled end of the registration period once the allocated number of registrations in a particular price category has been reached.
Current registration fees, registration deadlines, group discounts, deadlines for changes and cancellations, prices of additional services, refund amounts and any administrative fees are published on the registration page.
The information published and applicable at the time the participant completes their registration shall apply.
PAYMENT
The registration fee must be paid using one of the payment methods available in the registration system at the time of registration.
The final price is displayed to the participant before the paid registration is submitted. Additional paid services will only be charged if selected by the participant.
If payment is unsuccessful, the registration will not be confirmed unless the organiser expressly states otherwise.
In the event of payment difficulties, the participant may contact info@soca-outdoor.com.
GROUP REGISTRATIONS
The organiser may offer group registrations and related benefits.
The minimum number of participants, the group registration procedure and current group discounts are published on the registration page.
The group leader or person submitting the group registration is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided on behalf of the group members.
Each individual participant must be familiar with these General Terms and Conditions.
RIGHT TO WITHDRAW FROM THE CONTRACT
Registration for a sporting event constitutes a service related to a leisure activity provided on a specific date or during a specific period.
Registration for the I feel Slovenia Soča Outdoor Festival therefore constitutes a contract for a leisure service provided on a specific date or during a specific period. In accordance with Article 135 of the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1), the participant therefore does not have a general 14-day right to withdraw from the contract without providing a reason.
This does not affect the options for cancellation, partial refund of the registration fee, changing the discipline or transferring the registration provided by the organiser under the general rules.
CANCELLATION DUE TO MEDICAL REASONS
A participant who is unable to attend the event for medical reasons and has already paid the registration fee may apply for a partial refund under the conditions set by the organiser.
The request must be sent to: info@soca-outdoor.com
The request must include appropriate official medical documentation, such as a medical certificate or medical report confirming the participant’s inability to attend.
Current deadlines for submitting a request and the refund amount based on the cancellation date are published on the registration page.
The refund conditions published and applicable when the participant completed their registration shall apply.
After the final deadline for medical refunds has passed, the participant will generally not be entitled to a refund unless otherwise required by applicable law.
The organiser will process medical information received as part of the request solely to the extent necessary to assess the request and in accordance with applicable personal data protection regulations.
If the participant does not attend the event and does not meet the conditions for a refund or another form of compensation, their registration will be considered forfeited. In such a case, the participant will generally not be entitled to the race pack or other benefits associated with actual participation unless the organiser decides otherwise.
PREGNANCY POLICY
Female runners who are expecting a child, or their partners, may request a refund of the registration fee or defer their registration to the next edition upon submitting appropriate supporting documentation and subject to the following conditions:
A female runner who learns that she is pregnant after registering for the event may apply for a refund of the registration fee or defer her registration to the next edition upon submitting appropriate supporting documentation.
The partner of a pregnant runner whose due date is less than three months before the event or no more than two months after the event may apply to defer their registration to the next edition upon submitting appropriate supporting documentation.
The deadline for submitting a request for a deferral or refund is published on the registration page. The runner must send the appropriate supporting documentation and request to info@soca-outdoor.com.
This policy does not apply if the pregnancy was known before registration. The organiser reserves the right to request additional supporting documentation and may reject a deferral request if the documentation provided is insufficient.
CANCELLATION FOR OTHER REASONS
If the participant is unable to attend the event for a reason unrelated to their health, they will generally not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee.
In such a case, the participant may transfer their registration to another person if transfers are still permitted. Current transfer deadlines and conditions are published on the registration page.
CHANGE OF PARTICIPANT
A registration may only be transferred to another person if permitted by the rules of the relevant edition of the event. If the organiser permits registration transfers, the registered participant may transfer their registration to another person within the deadline and according to the procedure published on the registration page.
The transfer must be completed through the official procedure. Giving a race bib to another person without officially changing the participant is not permitted. Anyone competing with another participant’s race bib without a properly completed transfer may be disqualified.
When a registration is transferred to another person, the new participant must meet all participation requirements and accept these General Terms and Conditions and the event rules.
CHANGE OF DISCIPLINE
Changing the discipline or distance is possible if places are still available in the desired discipline and the deadline for changing distances has not passed.
The runner can change the distance themselves through the registration platform. Instructions for changing the course, deadlines for changing disciplines and any administrative fees are published on the registration page.
When changing to a more expensive discipline, the participant must pay the difference in the registration fee. When changing to a shorter course, the difference in price will not be refunded.
NON-ATTENDANCE
If the participant does not attend the event and has not cancelled or transferred their registration within the applicable deadlines and under the applicable conditions, their registration will be considered forfeited.
In such a case, the participant will generally not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee.
Non-attendance also does not automatically entitle the participant to collect the race pack, medal, promotional products or other benefits associated with actual participation at a later date unless the organiser decides otherwise.
COLLECTION OF THE RACE BIB AND RACE PACK
The times and locations for race bib collection are published on the competition programme page or communicated to participants by the organiser before the event.
Runners must collect their own race bib and present a valid identity document. If the organiser permits group collection or collection on behalf of another person, it must be carried out according to the procedure and conditions specified by the organiser.
A participant may only compete with the race bib officially assigned to them.
The race bib must be worn in a clearly visible position during the competition.
MINOR PARTICIPANTS
Minor participants require the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who also assumes responsibility for the child. Consent must be provided when submitting the registration. The parent or legal guardian must accompany the child when collecting the race bib.
Due to the difficulty of individual disciplines, the organiser may impose additional minimum age requirements. Each distance may have a different age restriction depending on its difficulty.
MEDICAL FITNESS AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Participation in the event involves physical exertion and the usual risks associated with outdoor sporting activities, including uneven or slippery terrain, ascents and descents, changing weather conditions, natural obstacles and the possibility of falls and injuries.
Each participant is responsible for assessing their health, physical fitness and ability to participate safely in the selected discipline.
The participant must be appropriately physically prepared and medically fit for the selected discipline.
The participant undertakes to:
compete or participate according to their abilities,
follow the instructions of the organiser, rescue personnel, medical personnel, marshals and other officials,
not participate in the event under the influence of alcohol, prohibited drugs or other substances that significantly impair their abilities,
inform the organiser or medical personnel of any circumstances directly relevant to the safety of their participation whenever necessary.
If medical or safety personnel determine that continuing would pose a serious danger to the participant or other persons, the organiser may prevent the participant from continuing.
ORGANISER’S LIABILITY
The participant accepts the ordinary and foreseeable risks inherent in participating in an outdoor sporting event.
The organiser is not liable for damage resulting from:
failure to comply with these terms and conditions or the competition rules,
failure to follow the instructions of the organiser or official personnel,
the participant’s inadequate physical fitness or medical condition,
the use of unsuitable equipment,
deliberately leaving the marked course,
the actions of the participant or third parties over whom the organiser has no reasonable control,
the ordinary risks of sporting activities that the organiser cannot prevent despite exercising due care.
The organiser is also not liable for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings or sporting equipment unless the damage results from conduct for which the organiser is legally liable.
Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits the organiser’s liability in cases where such liability may not be excluded or limited under applicable law.
COURSE AND MARKINGS
The courses are marked using markings determined by the organiser.
The participant must follow the officially marked course at all times and must not intentionally take shortcuts.
If the participant does not see any course markings for an extended period or believes that they have left the course, they must return to the last reliably identified marking whenever it is safe to do so.
Intentionally shortening the course, missing checkpoints, using unauthorised transport or otherwise deliberately gaining an unfair advantage may result in a penalty or disqualification.
TIME LIMITS AND STARTING WAVES
Individual disciplines may be subject to overall or intermediate time limits.
Current time limits are published on the website in the descriptions of each discipline.
If the starts for an individual discipline are divided into several starting waves, the participant must follow the organiser’s instructions regarding their allocation.
If the organiser determines that only competitors from a specific starting wave are eligible to compete for the overall victory in a particular discipline, this rule must be published before the start or included in the discipline description.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT
The participant must carry all equipment designated as mandatory for their discipline. The list of mandatory and recommended equipment is published in the description of each discipline or on the festival’s official website.
Due to weather or other safety conditions, the organiser may specify additional mandatory equipment before the start of an individual discipline. The participant must present the required equipment upon request.
The organiser may inspect the equipment before the start, during the competition or after the participant reaches the finish line.
Current rules regarding penalties for incomplete mandatory equipment are published on the registration page.
AID STATIONS AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY
The organiser provides aid stations along the courses to the extent specified for each discipline. Unauthorised external assistance may result in a penalty or disqualification.
Disposable cups are not provided at aid stations. Participants must therefore carry their own reusable cup or another suitable drinking container.
Between aid stations, participants must be appropriately self-sufficient and carry enough fluids, food and other necessary equipment according to the requirements of the selected discipline.
SAFETY AND ASSISTANCE TO OTHERS
In the event of an accident or serious danger to another participant, the participant must provide appropriate assistance whenever this is possible without exposing themselves to disproportionate risk and must notify the nearest official, rescuer or organiser.
The organiser provides safety measures and medical or rescue support appropriate to the nature and size of the individual event and in accordance with the requirements of the competent authorities.
The emergency contact number is printed on the race bib or communicated to participants by the organiser before the start.
MEDICAL AND RESCUE SERVICES
The organiser provides medical and rescue support appropriate to the nature and scale of the event and in accordance with the requirements of the competent services.
Marshals, volunteers, firefighters and other persons involved in ensuring the safe delivery of the event may also be present at key points along the course.
WEATHER, COURSE CHANGES AND SUSPENSION OF THE RACE
After successfully completing the registration, the participant will receive an electronic confirmation or another form of registration confirmation.
Submitting a paid registration creates an obligation to pay.
EVENT CANCELLATION
If the organiser cancels the event and it does not take place, participants will be informed of the cancellation without undue delay, together with the available options for a refund, registration transfer or another solution.
Current registration fee refund terms in the event of cancellation due to exceptional circumstances are published on the registration page.
The conditions published and applicable at the time the participant completed their registration shall apply.
In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond the organiser’s control, including extreme weather events, natural disasters, decisions of the competent authorities, serious safety risks or other events of force majeure, the rights and obligations of the organiser and participant will be assessed in accordance with applicable law and any special conditions brought to the participant’s attention before the contract was concluded.
If the event can be postponed or a comparable alternative can be offered, the organiser may also offer participants the option to transfer their registration and must clearly state the conditions applicable to this option.
FESTIVAL CAMPSITE
If a festival campsite is available as part of the festival, advance booking is generally required.
Current information about:
the campsite’s period of operation,
bookings,
prices,
access,
parking,
toilets and showers,
vehicles,
and other rules of use
is published on the event website.
Users must follow the instructions of the organiser and staff and use the campsite without disturbing other users or causing damage.
ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME
The festival may also include an accompanying programme. Individual activities may be free of charge or subject to a fee.
If an activity is provided by an independent external provider and booked directly with that provider, the provider’s terms and conditions apply to the service.
The organiser is not responsible for the delivery of a service by an external provider where the contractual relationship is established directly between the participant and the external provider.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GREEN COMMITMENT
The I feel Slovenia Soča Outdoor Festival takes place in a sensitive natural environment.
The participant undertakes to:
dispose of waste only in designated areas,
carry all waste and packaging generated during the race to an aid station or another collection point,
remain on marked trails,
not intentionally damage plants or the natural environment,
respect wildlife,
separate waste where facilities are provided,
use natural resources responsibly,
respect the local environment and residents, and
encourage others to behave responsibly.
Serious or intentional violations of environmental rules may result in disqualification.
PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING AND MEDIA PRODUCTION
The event is a public sporting event at which photography, video recording and other forms of media production may take place.
Participants may appear in photographs and recordings as part of the competition, crowd, start, finish, course, award ceremony or general festival activities.
By registering for the event, competitors consent to the organiser using photographic and video material recorded at the event for promotional purposes.
The organiser may use such material to document, report on, archive, present and promote the festival where an appropriate legal basis exists for the specific use.
Where an individual’s consent is required for a particular use of a photograph or recording, the organiser will obtain such consent separately.
PERSONAL DATA
The organiser processes participants’ personal data primarily for the following purposes:
processing registrations,
processing payments,
communicating with participants,
identifying participants,
organising the competition,
timing,
preparing start lists and results,
processing registration changes and cancellations,
ensuring safety,
fulfilling legal obligations, and
handling requests and complaints.
More detailed information about the data controller, the purposes and legal bases for processing, data recipients, retention periods and individual rights is provided in the applicable Privacy Policy.
Consent to receive promotional newsletters or other marketing communications, where required, is obtained separately from acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions and is not a condition of participation in the event.
RESULTS
Due to the nature of the sporting competition, information required for its operation and transparency—including the participant’s full name, country or club, race bib number, discipline, category, result and ranking—may be published on start lists and results lists.
The organiser may establish a procedure and deadline for submitting an objection regarding results, timing, penalties or disqualification.
Such a deadline for sporting objections does not limit any other rights granted to the participant under applicable law.
COMMUNICATION WITH PARTICIPANTS
The organiser will publish important event-related notices on the official website and/or send them to the email address provided by the participant during registration.
The participant is responsible for ensuring that the email address provided is correct and for monitoring important organisational and safety notices before the event.
Communications relating to the registration process or delivery of the event are not marketing communications and may also be sent to participants who have not subscribed to promotional newsletters.
COMPLAINTS AND CLAIMS
Participants may submit questions, complaints or claims to: info@soca-outdoor.com
The organiser will handle the complaint in accordance with applicable law and endeavour to resolve any dispute amicably.
The contractual relationship between the organiser and participant is governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, the court with subject-matter and territorial jurisdiction under applicable regulations shall have jurisdiction to resolve the dispute.
The organiser does not recognise any provider of out-of-court consumer dispute resolution services as competent to resolve a consumer dispute that a consumer may initiate under the Slovenian Out-of-Court Resolution of Consumer Disputes Act (ZIsRPS).
STORAGE OF THE CONTRACT
The organiser retains information relating to completed registrations in accordance with applicable law. Before submitting the registration, the General Terms and Conditions are made available to the participant in a format that allows them to be stored and reproduced.
After successfully completing the registration, the participant will receive an electronic registration confirmation.
CHANGES TO THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The organiser may amend these General Terms and Conditions for future registrations or future editions of the event.
Registrations that have already been completed will generally be governed by the General Terms and Conditions applicable when the registration was completed, except for amendments required due to changes in legislation or other reasons that may legally apply to existing contractual relationships.
The current version of the General Terms and Conditions is published on the official website of the I feel Slovenia Soča Outdoor Festival.
FINAL PROVISIONS
If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is found to be void, invalid or unenforceable, this will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, provided that the terms and conditions can continue to apply without that provision.
Any matters not specifically governed by these terms and conditions shall be subject to the applicable laws of the Republic of Slovenia.
These General Terms and Conditions enter into force on: 14 August 2026.
