Forty kilometers and a solid 1,500 metres of elevation gain \u2013 this trail run demands a strong heart, obedient legs, a steady stomach, and an iron will. Those who have all that\u2026 Well, we quietly admire you. Where \u201cnormal people\u201d pause for breath, you shift gears \u2013 from running to a fast, determined hiking stride. While others chew on greasy sandwiches, you down a quick sip of electrolytes and keep going. Forty kilometers in one day \u2013 most people on Earth will never even walk that far in their lifetime. You\u2019ll run through the natural gem of the Tolmin Gorges, a narrow rocky canyon carved over thousands of years by a crystal-clear river. From there, the route takes you past Tolmin Castle and on to the Grofova voda spring beneath the Tolmin mountain pastures, before continuing along the emerald So\u010da River. Next comes the climb to the panoramic hill of Mengore, followed by a run through picturesque Most na So\u010di. But not so fast \u2013 the climbing isn\u2019t over yet. You\u2019ll still make your way past the Senica viewpoint before reaching the final, and more than well-earned, crossing of the Tolminka River at the finish. Its cool water will wash away the effort, soothe tired muscles, and refresh your mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
